Slow Down: The McGregor City Council has adopted an ordinance setting a 55 mph speed limit on the 2.3-mile stretch of State Highway 317 from Bluebonnet Parkway to Mother Neff Parkway. A temporary decrease in the speed limit was initiated to accommodate Industrial Park activity and the construction of the rail spur (represented by the blue dotted line) into the park. STAR students: MJH recently awarded STAR cards to students for perfect attendance, an all-A average, or receiving the Character Award. Four students earned all three and were recognized at December’s MISD School Board Meeting. They were Jaidon Hemphill, Allison Elliott, Litzy Acosta, and Berkeley Everett.
