Adam John Aviles
Adam John Aviles died unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the age of 55.
Adam is survived by his children, Amilia (Aviles) Marinero, and husband, Bryan, of Crawford, Michael Aviles of Waco, and Anthony Aviles of Temple. Grandchildren: Isaiah Aviles, Bentley Diaz, and Mila Marinero. Brother, Victor Aviles, Sisters Dianna (Aviles) Zapata, husband José, Angela Aviles, Thomasa (Aviles) Estrada, husband Steve. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and all who had a special place in his heart.
Adam was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Aviles; mother, Cecilia (Lucio) Aviles; brother, Daniel Aviles, and sister, Virginia (Aviles) Salazar.
Adam was born July 9, 1967 to Benjamin and Cecilia (Lucio) Aviles. He graduated from McGregor High School in 1986. He worked for H&B Contractors for 27 years, working his way up and ending as surveyor.
Adam loved all things sports, was a BIG OU fan and swore he was Native American. Some of his favorite things to do were play softball, horseshoes, sitting outside drinking his Budweiser and waving at passerby’s. It doesn’t matter where Adam saw you, he was going to visit with you and, of course, give you a hard time. His infectious laughter will be missed along with his heart to heart or inappropriate conversations, whichever you were lucky to get. You always heard “Adam is Adam” or “well, that’s Adam” but he spoke his mind and was unapologetically himself.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for the new year. The family wants you to enjoy your time with your loved ones throughout this holiday season.
