Mary Ann Bennett

Mary Ann Bennett, 88, of McGregor, peacefully passed away after a brief illness. In honor of her wishes, the family will have a private service at a later date.

Mary Ann was born December 7, 1933, in Oglesby, Texas, to Bernie and Vera Bennett, one of six children. She was a graduate of Baylor University. After retirement from Hercules, she opened a needlepoint shop in McGregor, Mary Ann’s Needleworks. She was a member of the McGregor Garden Club, and taught Sunday School at College Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include sisters, Cherterlene Holt and Joan Karr; and multiple nieces and nephews.
