Carolyn Frances Wallace

Carolyn Frances Wallace of McGregor, TX passed away peacefully on December 2, 2021, at the age of 81. She was born September 2, 1940, to A.T. (Thurman) and Emily Wallace in Jonesboro, TX. The family will be holding a Memorial Service after the new year (February 2022) in Jonesboro TX.

Carolyn was a devout member of the United Methodist Church and an active member in the United Methodist Women’s Group, and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.

She was a member of the Class of 1958 at McGregor High School; a graduate of Mary Hardin Baylor and held a Master’s Degree from The University of North Texas and served as a school educator in Texas for more than 35 years.

She is survived by her son, Wallace Brandon Bishop; daughter-in-law, Melissa Fairbanks Bishop; and their two sons, Brooks and Blake. Carolyn is also survived by her siblings, Janet Buth, Ginger Kirkpatrick, Jacky Wallace, Macky Wallace and A.T. Wallace and many other extended family and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, A.T. and Emily Wallace.

Carolyn was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend to so many. She cherished her family and always devoted everything she had to raising her first love … her son, Brandon. Anyone who knew Carolyn knows she was very strong in her beliefs and never wavering in her loyalty. We were all blessed to have Carolyn in our lives!
