Jimmie Don Pledger

Jimmie Don Pledger, formerly of McGregor and Lorena, passed away with family at Groesbeck, on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at age 72. Interment with military honors will be scheduled at a later date in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with full military honors.

Jimmie was born November 24, 1949, in Waco to Koal Maynard, Sr, and Anna Lucille (Spivey) Pledger.
Jimmie grew up in McGregor. He served in the U.S. Army with two tours in Vietnam. He and his family moved to Lorena in 1991.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Koal Pledger, Jr. and Bruce Pledger, Sr.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Tanya Pledger; daughter, Robbie Pledger; sister, Pam Bottoms; brother, Hervey Pledger and wife Judy; Uncle, Cecil Spivey; Aunt, Henrietta Spivey; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and his ex-wife, Lucretia Wilson, plus numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Interment with military honors will be Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
