Founder’s Day Pageant deadline set for Aug. 26

The Miss McGregor Scholarship Program will add another page to the community’s history on Sept. 11 when it holds its annual Founder’s Day Pageant. At the event, McGregor will crown four new pageant winners, including the 2022 Miss McGregor.

The deadline to enter the pageant is Aug. 26. Girls ranging in age from 5-20 can enter the event by submitting an application online.

Natalie Aviles, the reigning Miss McGregor will highlight the Founder’s Day activities by crowning the new queen shortly after 4 p.m. The location for the event will be determined in the next few days, according to Colleen Henson.

Miss McGregor candidates must be between 17 and 20 years of age.

Contestants looking to succeed Lena Lane as the new Miss Teen McGregor will be from 13-16 years of age, while the Junior Miss McGregor and Little Miss McGregor age divisions are 9-12 and 5-8, respectively.

Analiyah Jaimes is the reigning Junior Miss McGregor. Layla Lewis is the current Little Miss McGregor crownholder.

To enter, contestants need to complete an online application, as well as submit a head shot, an essay, a biography and entry fee prior to the Aug. 26 deadline.
