We’re still building a Tower of Babel

Genesis 11: 1. Now the whole world had on language and common speech. 2. As people moved eastward they found a plain in Shinar and settled there. 3. They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4. Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves, otherwise we will be scattered over the whole earth.
I’m all for advancements and achievements beneficial for our society. There is nothing wrong with that, but today, in the News, there is a battle raging between two of the richest men in the world. They are spending billions of dollars trying to be the first man to colonize space. This battle has now been going on for 15 years, it has developed into a feud. It is apparent they do not like each other. They mock one another for any of the other’s accomplishment, using the world as a platform painting the picture that their efforts are noble and just. Nothing wrong with competition, but really it sounds like two little boys on the playground bragging on who is better, tougher and smarter.
A Tower of Babel is being built, right in front of our eyes. We see it all over the world, the drastic measure to control the minds and hearts of the people, cutting the use of fossil fuels and control the climate etc... Don’t get me wrong, there should be an effort to prolong the Earths atmosphere and the life that lives on it. We all should do our part in not littering and cut carbon emission, for those things can and will help, but in the end, there is a time the Lord has established that will happen. The heavens and earth will melt away with fervent heat. In other words, we all will need fire insurance and that insurance policy was purchased by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Those who believe that He is the son of God and rose from the dead and repent, will live forever with HIM!

This is what the Word of God has spoken by mouth of Lord; Matthew 24:35. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my Words shall not pass away. No matter if we go to another planet in space, sooner or later it will all pass away, but Gods Holy Word will remain.
The language of insurrection is being spoken, and the Tower of Babel is being built even today. We hear it by the many who are saying the same things, trying to make a name for themselves to reach the heavens. We see it even in the political arena, on jobs and even in families. Here is the original story: Genesis 11: 5. But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6. The Lord said, “if as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other. 8. So the Lord scattered them from there to over all the earth and they stopped building the city. 9. That is why it was called Babel because the Lord confused the language of the whole world. So, the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth. Remember, building anything without God is futile. Build for God and give Him all the Glory in all that you do.
