Walter Brinkman

Walter August Brinkman Jr., 77, of McGregor, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 20, at  2:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor. The burial will occur on Friday, August 22, at Morton Cemetery in Richmond, Texas. Walter was born on February 2, 1948, to Lillie Veal (Dew) and Walter August Brinkman Sr. in Houston, Texas. He attended Baylor University and Baylor Dental School (Go Bears!) and owned and operated a dental office on Main Street in McGregor for 39 years. Walter married Sharon Ann (Broom) Brinkman on August 19, 1972. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Hugh Louis Brinkman; and sister, Sue Brinkman Alston. He is survived by his wife; children, Erin Brinkman Kinch and husband Stephen, Jamie Elizabeth Brinkman and husband Mengmeng Zhang; grandchildren, Summerlyn Anne and Karalynn Noelle Kinch; and three chihuahuas, Happy, Lucky, and Toby.
